Common questions.
Do you provide gear, or do I bring my own?
Rods, reels, lines, flies, leaders, tippet, and terminal tackle are all included on every guided trip. Bring your own waders and wading boots, layers, polarized sunglasses, a hat, and a valid Washington fishing license. You're welcome to bring your own rod if you'd prefer.
Do I need a Washington fishing license?
Yes. Every angler 15 and older needs a valid Washington freshwater fishing license, purchased in advance through WDFW. It's quick to grab online the night before. We'll send a reminder with the direct link when your trip is confirmed.
What's included in a float trip vs. walk & wade?
Both include your guide, all fly gear, drinks, and lunch on full-day trips. Float trips add the boat, shuttle, and access to water you can't reach on foot. Walk & wade is best for learning the water, close reads, and shorter half-days. See the Trips page for the full breakdown.
What if the weather turns or the river blows out?
If a river becomes unsafe or unfishable, we'll either move to another watershed we can access legally, reschedule, or refund — your call. Bad-weather cancellations from our end never cost you your deposit. Regular Yakima weather (rain, wind, temperature swings) doesn't shut us down — we plan for it.
Do you offer overnight or multi-day trips?
Yes. Overnight camp floats include a river-side shore camp, dinner, breakfast, and two full days of guided water. These book out quickly for peak weeks in July and August — get in touch early. We also arrange custom multi-day itineraries on request.
Is there a discount for military or first responders?
Yes — 10% off every trip, active duty, veterans, and first responders. Mention it in your message and we'll apply it at booking.
Can you take groups larger than 3 anglers?
Absolutely. Bachelor parties, corporate days, family reunions — we regularly coordinate multi-boat trips with a couple trusted guide friends. Tell us your group size and dates and we'll build the day.
Do kids fish with you?
Yes. Half-day walk & wade is usually the best fit for younger anglers — shorter, closer to the truck, more forgiving. Reach out with ages and we'll steer you to the right day.
