Guiding is equal parts craft and stewardship — reading water, tying knots that hold, putting someone on their first fish, then rowing them home before the light goes.
We built Fishical Pursuit because we love this. The oars, the drift, the moment the rod goes tight. Every trip we run is a chance to hand off a piece of that to somebody new — and every photo below came out of a day that started before sunrise and ended with tired arms and a good story.
Three ways to fish the river.
Drift boat, covering water.
Roll casts under overhangs, dry-dropper rigs, and the kind of drift you only get from a boat.
Boots in the seam.
Small water, close reads, one bend at a time. Best for learning the water and the lift-set.
Two-handed, swinging.
Snap-T, Perry-Poke, and long lines through soft tailouts. A slower, older way to move a fly.
