Staleness pill tells you how old the reading is: green = live (<2h), neutral = same-day, amber = day-old, red = gauge silent >30h. USBR daily gauges post one day behind by design.
Emergency rules from WDFW auto-refresh — the banner and per-card ribbons flag any active closure or restriction on our rivers. Always cross-check before you fish.
